We had half a dozen swimmers competing at the LDD gala this year. Kitty produced our best result, breaking her own club record (14 yr olds) in the heats of the 100m fly and then winning gold in the final.

Gigi took 4th place in the 12/13 final of the 100m fly and set three new PBs, Sophie also had a 4th place in a final (12/13 100m breast) and set two new PBs. Ollie had a very good day, recording big PBs in all four of his events and Steven swam in his first external gala and made a big improvement in his 100m free. Finally, Anna S set a new 50m PB on the first leg of the relay.

A fantastic day for our youngsters, we had 17 swimmers competing and every single one of them recorded at least one PB. And, there were medals galore from a number of our team. Archie led the way with 3 golds and a bronze from 4 events. Ella had a 100% record, winning 2 golds from two swims. Rory C also picked up two golds and Mikolaj got a gold and a bronze. Rory V collected a silver and a bronze with Niamh and Thomas R winning a bronze each.

Furthermore, four more swimmers - Meagan(twice), Julia, Emmeline and Megan M all achieved a top six result. Finally, our relay team (Ella, Thomas, Megan M, Rory C, Emma and Miko) collected silver medals after a very exciting race with Warrender.
