  • Dunedin Challenge Meet - Aug 29/30 @ Bathgate

Our first gala of the 2015/16 season and it has all started so well. After the summer break, our swimmers must have been well rested as six of our ten swimmers had a PB in every event - well done to Meagan, Emmeline, Megan McI, Rory C, Miko and Rory V for 100% PBs.

The weekend really belonged to Meagan who won 8 gold medals from 8 swims and broke 7 club records in the process. She also won £100 in the Dunedin Challenge, a fantastic result for a ten yr old!

More medals were won by Molly (a silver and 2 bronze), Miko (2 bronze) and Archie (a bronze).

There were too many PBs to list them all but the really big ones (beating previous times set last season by more than 10 secs) were from Megan McI (three huge improvements in 200m back, 100m back and 200m free), Miko (200m fly) and Megan B (200m back). Grace C took over 8 secs off her 100m breast time, another excellent effort.

  • Muselburgh Fun Gala - Sat Jun 20 @ Musselburgh

A great day at the Musselburgh novice gala, despite John's shirt! Lots of our swimmers performed really well and we won a load of medals.

Ben led the way with 2 golds and 2 silvers, Lily won 2 golds and 2 bronzes with Ethan also winning a gold and three bronzes. Louise won 4 silvers and Sam won a silver and a bronze.Lewis and Zach both won a bronze each and also another top 6 place each. Katie got two top 6 places and Emmy also got a top 6 place.

We also saw some great improvement with three monster PBs recorded - Louise in the 50m fly, Lois in the 50m breast and Emmy in the 25m fly.

Finally, our relay teams did really well winning two golds and a silver - well done to Ben, Lewis, Zach, Ethan, Louise, Lily, Ruby and Katie G.
