This was the 200m event weekend and we had a dozen swimmers who
qualified (although a couple missed the meet due to injuries).
We had
four different swimmers who made finals, which is an excellent
achievement, and two (Rory and Iona) who collected medals. Well done to
both of them, Rory had a fantastic last 50m in the fly moving up from
5th to 3rd in the final section of the race (and almost catching 2nd
place too). Rory also made the back final, JJ had a great swim in the
heats of the breast to make the final and Ciaran made two finals (fly
and free) and was first reserve in his other event (back).
